Drones come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but very small flying robots are hard to make for a variety of reasons. Still, swarms of little, cheap robots could be ideal for tasks like environmental surveys or hunting down gas leaks. Power usage is a concern with tiny robots, but we’re one step closer today. A team of engineers from the University of Washington has developed . It doesn’t fly for long, but it’s a cool proof of concept. Most drones use propellers because they’re efficient and afford excellent maneuverability. However, propellers lose effectiveness at a certain point as you miniaturize them.

The hack in question was not developed by Mitnick, who works as Chief Hacking Officer for security firm KnowBe4. Credit for that goes to Mitnick’s friend and white hat hacker Kuba Gretzky. The tool is known as evilginx, and it even when the target uses two-factor authentication.
Ford is feeling the heat. Not from global warming and rising fuel prices, but its investors. Ford already fired one CEO last summer, and the new CEO, Jim Hackett, hasn’t lifted the stock price at all in the year he’s been in charge. Part of Ford’s solution is to essentially remove sedans from the US lineup over the next several years. At the same time, Ford is adding five new SUVs and a pickup. Ford’s goal: Nine of 10 Fords sold by 2020 will be a truck, SUV/crossover, or commercial vehicle. Ford says it’s adding energy-efficient drivetrains, so it’s not ignoring the environment.

The proliferation of inexpensive and efficient drone aircraft prompted the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to take action several years ago. The first official government regulations for drone aircraft were heavy-handed, but there are some indications the rules could be eased. The Department of Transportation has 10 new projects as part of the FAA’s Integration Pilot Program. These tests, which involve local governments and businesses, will help that don’t have to follow the strict rules. Some of the companies involved include FedEx, Google, and Uber. Conspicuously absent: Amazon. Announced in 2015, the FAA’s put a damper on many projects around the country.

Ever since it launched, the Xbox One has struggled against the PS4 — and new data suggests nothing Microsoft has done has stemmed the tide, at least not globally. During EA’s latest conference call, CEO Andrew Wilson said the : Turning to our expectations for fiscal 2019, we expect sales of current-generation consoles from Microsoft and Sony to continue to be strong, with the installed base growing to 130 million consoles by the end of calendar 2018 from 103 million at the end of calendar 2017.
