The 2020 Subaru Legacy is a near-perfect car if you’re looking for solid transportation and extensive safety technology across all trim lines. Every Legacy has all-wheel-drive, and enough driver-assist technology to be virtually self-driving on highways while protecting pedestrians in town (called Subaru EyeSight), track and alert inattentive drivers (DriverFocus), and call for help in an accident (Subaru Starlink). The new, 2020 seventh-generation Legacy also has front cupholders deep enough to not spill a 32-ounce Big Gulp, were the car capable of a 4-second 0-60 run (it’s more like 7 to 9 seconds, depending on the engine). The engine’s “boxer” technology, similar to what Porsche uses, lowers the car’s center of gravity.
More than a year ago, news began to surface that Foxconn would renege on its promises to Wisconsin after having been awarded $4.5B in tax credits in exchange for building in WI in the first place. Then, after a conversation with Trump, the project was supposedly back on. That was in late Jan / early Feb of 2019. In May of 2019, The Verge reported that all of Foxconn’s WI “buildings” were, in fact, empty shells of buildings with no equipment or hardware inside them to speak of. Foxconn took exception to this report and denounced The Verge’s reporting.
There’s an urgent need for COBOL programmers to update the unemployment systems across the United States. It’s predicted that at least 17 million people have lost their jobs already. According to some surveys, up to 52 percent of workers under the age of 45 have already been impacted in some way, either by being furloughed, fired, or having their hours cut. Multiple states across the nation have urgently called for COBOL programmers to assist them. Now, IBM is getting into the action and spinning up to help connect programmers and people. Why Do We Need COBOL Programmers? COBOL is an old language and dates to 1959.

Within days of social distancing becoming a household term virtually overnight, we may already have been introduced to another soon-to-be common phrase: Zoom bombing. With virtual meeting needs at an obvious high, and with video conferencing leader Zoom attracting loads of new usage, enterprising hackers have taken to, digitally breaking into and causing havoc in live Zoom meetings. It spotlights vulnerabilities in Zoom’s data architecture, which, unfortunately, doesn’t make them unique. In fact, a cyberattack incident costs companies of all sizes with about 60 percent shutting down for good within six months as a result. It’s never been more vital to understand what it takes to build a strong network, maintain tight security and diffuse points of attack.
The first Resident Evil game I ever played was Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube. While I’ve never been much of a console gamer, one of my exes owned the diminutive console. I found the conceit of “you can’t move while shooting” fantastically annoying, given that “moves while shooting” had been a feature of literally every FPS game I’d ever played. But the gameplay and atmosphere of RE4 hooked me immediately — so much so, that I recently replayed it using upscaled textures and updated assets on the PC. Capcom hasn’t anything yet, but given the success of RE2 and RE3, it’s inevitable that the company would look back to one of its seminal titles in the entire franchise.
Many of today’s biggest games feature loot box gameplay mechanics that critics claim are little different than gambling. Now, the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) has announced it will take loot boxes a bit more seriously. Going forward, titles that rely on these microtransactions on the label right next to the main ESRB rating. Microtransactions are nothing new in gaming. That idea stretches back to the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which tried to upsell gamers on cosmetic horse armor for $5. While gamers mocked Bethesda for the move, this would become a common element of game monetization in the intervening years.
